The Junior Section is for Boys aged 8 to 11 (Primary 4 to 6) What do they do? Junior Section Boys enjoy a full and varied programme of activities every Friday from 6.30 to 8.00pm. The Boys take part in a wide range of physical activities as well as ones designed to challenge them mentally. Boys continue to enjoy traditional BB activities such as marching and gymnastics but also others involving newer technology to help them achieve in today's age. Junior Section Programme The Boys follow a programme of activities that allow them to develop as young people and provides a framework for attaining their badges. The programme is divided into 5 zones: Body "Fit for Fun"Community "Me and the World" Creativity "Make and Do" Mind "Think and Do" Spirit "God and Me" A Typical Friday Night To keep the Boys engaged we split the evening into small chunks and keep our evenings varied, the below summarizes some of the activities the Boys participate in on a Friday: Fall In (Roll Call, announcements, Boys will share any news they have since we last met)Figure Marching Warm Up Team Races Badgework (Crafts, Bible stories, learning new skills etc) Football Fall Out(Closing Prayer) Community Along with activities on a Friday night we also organise events for the Boys as well as themed nights, theses include visits to a fire station, treasure trails, coffee mornings, Christmas party, supporting other charities, theatre trips, Celebrate Aberdeen parade and more.
