7 of our Junior Section Boys attended the North Scottish Area's Activity Weekend at Nethy Bridge, here is what they got up to:

We set off in the minbus, stopping on the way to pick some Boys up from the 1st Ellon Company and made our way to Nethy Bridge. On arrival we were treated to a BBQ and helped gather fire wood for the camp fire.

Once all the other Boys had arrived we had a quick tour of the site and met the centre's staff. Before bed time we had some devotions and a couple of songs before heading to our own chalet and getting some sleep (eventually!).

In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before splitting into groups and heading out for activities. One group did Archery and Crate Climbing and the other Canoeing and Climbing.

After lunch our groups did the Zip Wire (very high up!) and Assault Course, the other did Dry Slope Skiing. All activities were supervised by the centre's staff. Once back inside the Boys had a swimming session in the indoor pool

In the evening the Boys had some free time to enjoy the centre's Games Room which had a pool table, air hockey, table football and table tennis. We then had a five a side tournament, before again having evening devotions and discussion.

On Sunday, the focus was on the Boys completing team challanges to earn points for their teams. The Boys spent the day across the entire site, completing activities that tested their mental and physical skills as well as devloping their team building and leadership skills.

Once the competition was over, around tea time, the Boys said goodbye to the friends they had made over the weekend and we set off home to Aberdeen, exhausted and slightly muddy!
